{ Hello everybody!
This is Episode 6 of The Fun Times!
We have many interesting things to show you this time. We hope that you will enjoy our creations and it might even inspire you to try some of these on your own!
In this episode, we have all grades of the Primary section represented.
Enjoy! }
The bit in { } was dictated by the children, just fyi ;)
A word of caution - this is a long one so you might want to view it in 2 sittings!
Kiesha has been practising a lot of drawing lately, and in her own words, is becoming better at it. Here, she has created a collage of her drawings using Canva (another skill picked up during lockdown!).
Vivaan has been working hard at designing and making a car. The car is made of ice lolly sticks!
Surbhi has been experimenting with different ways to get creative and is going to teach you masking tape painting! It is a lot of fun!
Haadi has created a letter doodle with the letter H, because his name starts with H! He described it as ‘basically drawing H and then putting designs on top of it to make it pretty.’ To do a letter doodle, Haadi advises you to ‘draw a 3D letter and then put designs on it so it looks cool.’
Anvita loves to hula hoop. She finds it so much fun, she wanted to include it in the news letter. She loves it because ‘you can swing your hips here and there!’
Siddhanth has been very interested in cooking lately, so he shows you how to make one of his favourite dishes - badam halwa. Sid has created 2 videos and put them up on Instagram. Here is the link to video 1, and this is the link to video 2.
Tanisi has made a video about some funny questions. The goal is to try and answer them in 10 seconds or less!
Samratt is going to demonstrate how to make his version of a craft popper. Give it a try and let him know what you think. He does a great job of explaining the process!
This is Tanya's poem about her grandma, which she composed for her Achamma’s last birthday. ‘Once you finish reading it, try making your own poem’, she advises. Send it to us in the comments!
Laasya watched a movie on Netflix recently which she thinks is really great. She loves mysteries and this one is based on a book. This is her review of the movie.
Kiran has made a stop motion animation after watching animation cartoons. For this animation, he made a screen play and key frames in his note book. Then he made cut outs of origami paper for the actors and objects. He then took pictures of each frame and put it together with sounds from the internet. Creative!
Ananya has done a DIY experiment and made a video about this. The experiment is about how oil and water (don’t?) mix together! The video also has some riddles for you!
Neel has been busy learning about dragons, and here are his findings, including a picture of a fire breathing dragon!
Kavin has always been very keen about space. Here is a detailed video where he tells you about our solar system. With how keen and aware children are about space these days, space colonisation could very well become a reality in their lifetime (and hopefully mine too!)
Aiden is thoroughly enjoying his experiments on Scratch. Here, he shows you how to access games on Scratch and gives you a quick Minecraft tutorial!
Siddhant has been exercising to keep himself physically fit and mentally alert. He recently completed 10,000 steps in a single day, without stepping beyond the lobby outside his house! {We have a virtual sports day coming up soon, so this is a good build up for that!}
That’s it for this one! It was a pretty long one but we hope that you had a lot of fun! Do let us have your thoughts in the comments.
Stay tuned for the next episode.
Until then, #StayHome and #StaySafe
